Belleview Park

On Saturday I got together with two of my high school friends at Belleview Park. Kristen was nice enough to invite Sarah and I to her daughter's 4th birthday party so we could get together while Sarah was in town.

This park was really cool with tons of things to do. We went to a petting farm, rode this train, played on the playground, and waded in the creek.

The kids really like to water our garden and flowers around the yard. Sadie was doing so and I moved out of the way so my feet wouldn't get wet. Then she turned suddenly and I got what I wanted, my feet didn't get wet and I had a really good laugh.

Doctor visits

We've had a good last two weeks. Juliette is now 3 weeks old and doing really well. This last week we had her two week appointment and also Sadie's three year check up.
At Juliette's appointment her weight was 9lbs 12oz (90%) and was 22in long (95%). She is growing fast which is not unusual for my babies.

The girls are still having fun loving their new sister. If she's awake they are not far away.

I feel bad Sadie had to get one shot. She also did not want the doctor to touch and talk to her at all. She checked her wrist and thinks it is popping out of place when she keeps hurting it. So we just need to be careful of pulling on her wrist. She is currently 67% for her weight and 59% for her height.

Today is Nate and my seven year anniversary. It is amazing all the things that have happened in seven years, namely the three pictured above.

Happy Birthday Sadie!

Sadie's birthday was on Thursday. I would say that I can't believe she's three, but honestly she acts like a three year old. We love her to pieces, but at times she is definitely challenging. She has a very strong personality and at the same time, she is extremely sensitive and sweet. Her smile makes me melt. I am very lucky to be her mom.
Katelyn had to help her out with her presents because once again she hurt her little wrist.

Sadie got a Ladybug sandbox for her birthday.

Her and Katelyn have been having fun playing in the sand. I think one of Sadie's favorite parts of the sandbox is coming in and washing her feet.

She got some new goggles that she modeled for us. She was making me laugh watching her run around the yard in them.

Sadie had a carousel cake for her birthday this year. I loved it because it was nice and easy to decorate, but still a fun kid cake. Sadie is one silly girl and is sure loved. I can't wait to spend another year with you. Happy Birthday Sadie Bug!

We've made it One Week

We went home Monday from the hospital. I seriously needed some comfort from my own bed, shower, and couches.

Our week has consisted of lots of sleeping, eating, tears from everyone, loves and cuddles. The kids have been busy trying out the little swimming pool we got every afternoon.

I sure love my kids and their phobia of water in their face. If they didn't you wouldn't get awesome pictures like this with their goggles.

Sadie loves our baby. She thinks it is funny that if she wants a kiss from the baby she gets licked. She can't stop calling it a 'he', but this morning she did inform us that "I know it's a girl!"

Katelyn is very sweet with the baby and is always trying to entertain her. I just hope she doesn't lose interest by the time the baby will want to be entertained. She is always saying "Hi, Juliette" and "she is so cute". She plays peek-a-boo and brings her toys. She even got puppets out and did a little show. Juliette is going to love her when she gets a little bigger. Both the girls are always asking me where the baby is if I'm not holding her. So far they seem to be adjusting really well. They both have had their break downs and Sadie is up at the crack of dawn, but all will get better with time.

I'm trying to enjoy every moment with this new little one, but at the same time not get too sentimental. It is hard when you know she is the last, but I don't want to be sad all the time and I want to find joy in watching her grow up and be apart of her life.

All of us are enjoying her so much. She has long sleep periods and long awake periods. We have been surprised at how aware she is when she is awake. She really takes it all in. I hope this next week will go just as well as this one has.

Visitors

We had lots of visitors while we were in the hospital. We were lucky enough to have lots of family in town for memorial day weekend so they got to see the baby while they were here.
