9 Months Today

I can't believe 9 months is here.  She is so sweet and loved by everyone that meets and knows her.  Her hair is crazy.  I didn't think it could get any crazier, but it has.  She definitely has bedhead in this picture.  It can stick out on both sides and a mohawk on the crown of her head.  The good thing is all I have to do is spray it with some water and it stays down, bad thing is it looks like this every time she takes a nap which is 2-3 times a day and also when she rides in her car seat.  So really there is no point in trying to fix it.

She started really crawling in the middle of January.  She has it all figured out now and is super fast.  She can crawl up the stairs with ease and thinks it is great that she can follow her sisters around. 

Once she could crawl, she started pulling herself up to standing.  She is now really good at cruising around furniture and even lets go and stands all by herself.

She loves all sorts of food.  Lately her favorite have been blueberries and grapes.  I cut them up and she feeds herself.  She has lots of teeth to eat with.  She has 4 on the bottom and 4 on the top.  She likes to act like Cookie Monster when she eats bread.  She is sleeping through the night now.  The second we put her down in her bed she turns over to her tummy with her little bum in the air.  Her favorite room in the house is the girls bathroom.  She likes to play with the washcloth and shampoo bottles and hear the sound the bathtub makes when she hits it.  She likes to act bashful and hide her face if you talk to her sometimes.  But her most very favorite thing to do is pick up every little itty bitty think off the ground and eat it.  We love her so much and are so grateful we get to share these precious months with her when she is a baby.

Snow, snow, and some more snow

 This last weekend we got just a bit of snow.  Katelyn had a snow day and we all played outside all morning.

All ready to go out and play.  Juliette looks way to happy, she apparently did not know what snow was.



I pulled them around on a sled.  If you notice, it doesn’t look like enough snow to cancel school, but they did.  It actually snowed all day this day and then all night and some of the next morning.  It turned out to be a lot of snow by the end, like 2.5 feet.  Nate was on snow removal duty at the church, lucky him.

Nate and the girls carved out a tunnel in this mound of snow.  They also built stairs on the out side and carved out a slide.  I personally am not a fan of snow, but it sure looks pretty outside the window when you have no place you have to go.
