Christmas in Colorado

We had a wonderful Christmas this year. It was filled with family, food, and boxes.

Katelyn and Sadie have really enjoyed being with their cousins. Here are the girls.

My brother Travis and Tara were able to come for Christmas this year from California. We loved spending some time with them. Sadie was Travis' new buddy for the few days he was here.

We also spent some time at Grandma P's house on Christmas Eve and got to see Ashton and Zarah.

Scott has the extreme pleasure (or problem) of sharing Jesus' birthday. This year we had him open his presents on Christmas eve and have his cake.

Christmas Morning

Later that day we all gathered at Sarah and Scott's house for dinner. Sadie really enjoyed playing with her Uncle Travis.

Katelyn loved her presents this year. Even though Santa didn't bring her what she asked for, (princess tent and a jack-in-the-box) she informed us that he got her even better things. She really liked her razor, unfortunately it was banned to be only played with in the garage because she kept running into walls. In this picture she has her new pretend kitty Max and her Webkinz puppy Sarah. Her cousins have showed her how to play with your Webkinz online and now we do this everyday. She even got Nate and I playing. We make more money for her so she can buy what her house and dog need. My parents gave her some new pj's that describe her perfectly. They are pink with cupcakes, donuts, cookies, and strawberries all over them. the shirt has a donut with a big smile on it's face and it says "Sprinkles make me smile."

Sadie had an interesting time with presents this year. All of the pictures I got of her opening presents are scowls. One reason, she hurt her wrist and had to open everything one handed and the other reason, she was exclaiming "How cute" or "This is just what I wanted" while making a face that really didn't mean what she was saying. She is one funny girl.

Nate and I both enjoyed our Christmas and the things we received. The money that was nicely given is going towards a new sectional and chair we purchased yesterday to go in our family room. Because of the move and all the craziness we didn't get Christmas cards out this year. To all our friends and family we hope you all had a wonderful Holiday season and the year to come will bring you all much happiness.

(And no, we don't know what the baby is yet. My ultrasound is scheduled for next week.)

Update

We are alive and well. Nate likes his job, we like our new house, the kids are adjusting rather well, and we had a fantastic Christmas. Our move did come with some bumps and even some bruises, but we are here in Colorado all moved in to our house. We packed up our condo in Lehi, had issues with the moving company and actually left all of our stuff there so Nate could be in Colorado to start his new job. Thank you to everyone who watched the girls while we packed and cleaned. We stayed with my parents for three weeks, closed on the house, and Nate flew to Utah to pack a truck and bring all our stuff over. Thank you to everyone who helped him load the truck, carry furniture down three flights of stairs, and clean. We are so grateful for our family and friends in Utah and are missing all of you. We hope you all had a great holiday season and I actually did take pictures during Christmas so I will be posting those soon.
