Mine!

For an update, Sadie is talking like crazy. I think she's figured out it is more effective than crying. Her favorite words to say are: mine, juice, up. She also started using 'no' this week. Sometimes that word can be good, but most of the time it's to tell me she doesn't want to do what I asked her to do. She suprises me by what she can say. This morning I was doing her hair and I guess I sprayed some water that dripped in her eyes because she started saying 'mama eyes'. I didn't know she knew the word eyes by herself. Usually she repeats everything that we say, so it's fun to see her use them on her own.

Baby, oh baby!

Katelyn and I had a funny conversation today at breakfast. We sat down for breakfast and this followed:
Katelyn: I think we should have a baby boy and we should name him Chester. Not a girl, a boy.
Me: Okay, but Daddy and Mom don't really get to choose whether it's a girl or a boy and when we do have another baby we will be happy if it's a boy or a girl. (By the way I'm not pregnant, so this was an out of the blue conversation)
Katelyn: Well I want another baby.
Me: I think we will have another baby some time.
Katelyn: I think we should have lots of babies, but then we would have to move because I don't think we have enough room. I guess they could sleep in your bed and we could all share beds.
Me: I don't think you need to worry about that because when we have another baby we will probably move to a house.
Katelyn: Oh. We should have lots of babies. Maybe two or three.
Me: All at the same time?
Katelyn: Yeah!
Me: I don't think that's a good idea.
Katelyn: It's not that big of a deal, mom. It's just three babies.

Our time in Idaho

We had a great time in Idaho for Christmas. Thanks to all the family for your hospitality and dealing with our crazy and sometimes cranky kids.

Katelyn got this dollhouse from Grandma Paula and all the kids loved it. It was funny because Katelyn and Sadie were the only girls there and all four boys loved it too.

The biggest surprise was when I was opening a present I thought I knew what it was and it ended up being a new ring that Nate had designed and made for me. He seriously surprised me and even made me blush, which doesn't happen all that often.

This is Ryan and Nanci's little guy Jett. He is seriously one of the cutest babies ever.

Christmas Day:

Opening presents that Santa left. He has such cute paper that he wraps them in. I'm sure that Mrs. Claus picked it out.

Showing Grandma her new doll and Dallas' very old monkey. Grandma Jan actually put this monkey away for me because he's not my favorite (a little scary) but Sadie loved it and carried it around with her.

We stopped on the way home to see my Grandma Sorensen who lives in Preston. It was great to see her and she always out does herself.

For our trip to Idaho I can say we ate way to much, laughed a lot, and saw a whole lot of family. It was a great.
