Cute Haircut

I took Katelyn to get a haircut today. She definitely needed it.

Here is the before.

This kid hair cutting place was really cute. They had cute cars to sit in and she was glued to the Elmo movie she picked out. She sat so still because of it.

Here is the after. Her hair is a little staticy due to the slide behind her.

I think it turned out really cute. I'm not sure what it will look like normally because I got to tell you, I don't think I will be using a blow dryer and round brush to do her hair everyday.

My Wife the Party Queen

Okay, I would like to start off by saying sorry to all those who also contributed to this event (because there are a lot of you out there and I know Anjanette didn't do as much as some, but I don't know who did what so I'm going to completely leave the rest of you out).

It’s been a week now, but my wife assisted in putting together the ward Easter party and I think she did a pretty good job. It is always hard to know what needs to be done. There are so many kids in our ward and it becomes impossible to please everyone, and when it comes to something like Easter, it gets even harder to incorporate the adults. As with so many things however, my wonderful wife was up to the challenge. The party started about 4:00 last Saturday with the traditional egg hunt. Due to the wet weather outside, this (and all other activities) was done in the church building. As you may have guessed, the limited space made things a little more difficult. I think most of the kids had a good time though and after the mayhem concluded, it was time for games and other fun. This is a big part of where my wife comes in. In preparation, she hard boiled eight dozen eggs which were used in some egg-on-the-spoon style races. People seemed to be having a great time and there was really only one egg that turned out to not be cooked. I watched the whole thing from the sidelines and couldn’t help but laugh a little. How one egg got through all the cooking is beyond any of us, but it added to the enjoyment of the evening. All in all, the evening went very well and I owe so much of it to Anjanette (and others, please don’t leave nasty comments).

Here is just a glimpse of some of the people who showed up. Luckily the egg hunt started conveniently late.

Katelyn wanted to hide and find eggs for days after. She would even hide them for herself.

My sewing project

Easter Dresses

My mom helped me make Katelyn's dress because I was stuck. I was having the hardest time understanding the directions on the pattern. I spent the last two days making Sadie's dress. I was so worried about putting the zipper in, but with instructions from my mom, I did it! They look so cute on them.

Sadie so excited...until she found out she couldn't crawl in her dress. At church she was doing headstands to try and get her dress out from under her feet and knees.

10 Months

Here is our 10 month old today.

She loves to cruise around all the furniture, get into trouble, and be a vacuum. She is busy, busy, busy. I'm always being chased around the house by her. She will also eat almost anything as long as we are eating it too. Well...she'll at least try anything.Katelyn is pretty good with her. She still has a problem with sharing, but Sadie does too. It always make me laugh when Sadie wakes up and I go get her, they always get so excited to see each other. I'm glad they love each other. I'm pretty sure that Katelyn thinks Sadie's name is Sadie Bug. That is what we call her, but Katelyn told me the other day that "there is a girl in my gymnastics class named Sadie, but her name isn't Sadie Bug just Sadie." I know I say it a lot but I do love my girls and am so thankful that I have them.
