Day at the zoo!

On Saturday went to the zoo. We went to meet one of Nate's mission buddies and his family there. We had a good time, but we were hot and thirsty and so tired after.

They had a lot of new baby animals. They had baby giraffe, tigers, snow leopards, meerkats, and the cutest of them all...

Her name is Zuri. She was really fun to watch and totally worth the trip.

We had never been to their bird show before and it was really cool. I kept ducking every time a bird would fly over. My favorite was the sea eagle. I forgot to bring my camera in, so no pictures.

15 Month Well Child Visit

Sadie went to the doctors today. She is doing really well. I'm a little concerned that she still isn't talking. The doctor gave me some info for Kids on the Move program. He said that they will be able to give me some ideas of how I can help her. I don't know if he gave this option to me so I can feel like he helped me or if he is concerned. Sometimes it is hard to read doctors. I think I will give them a call, but I'm not going to worry too much or do too much with it until she is 18 months. What do you think? Her stats were Height: 31; 50%ile Weight: 23.8; 50%ile Head Circ: 46.5; 75%ile.

It is sure easy to love this little girl. She is still obsessed with shoes. She always wants to wear them and us to wear ours. One new thing is that she can get on the kitchen chairs now. Most of the day she is standing at the table and looking out the window and along with that comes falling on her head.


She also loves looking at books. I had forgotten how much Katelyn use to look through books. It seems like that's what she does all day. She's still not very good at sitting and listening though. She is really good at spitting food she doesn't like and blowing dandelions.

Sadie had her first ice cream cone last week. She loved it. You can tell by the picture because she is "OOOw"ing at it which she does to everything she likes.

Before September came we tried to take advantage of what is offered to us while it is still warm.

First Day of Preschool

Yesterday was Katelyn's first day of preschool. We went and met her teacher two weeks ago and Katelyn wouldn't even look at her let alone talk to her. So I was a little worried about what she was going to do when I dropped her off. She suprised me a lot. She walked right in and gave her teacher the things we were suppose to bring and went to go play with the other kids. I had to force her to say goodbye to me. It was really funny. When I went to pick her up she said that she loves preschool and she likes her teacher Mrs. Wallace. We had to work on her saying the name because she kept saying Mrs. Walrus.

I sure love this girl!
