Birthdays

Nate celebrated his 28th birthday on March 14. He asked for an ice cream cake again this year. It didn't turn out quite as good as last year. It looks great, but lessons have been learned. Frozen cut strawberries don't make for an easy cutting or eating experience.

For St. Patrick's Day, we made some Leprechaun munching mix. Sadie was pretty excited, but she gets this way about anything that is sweet or just plan popcorn.

My parents were here last week. The kids did some posing for their camera.



I celebrated my 27th birthday on March 23. My parents also celebrated their 37th wedding anniversary the same day.

Katelyn picked out the candles. I'm actually glad I'm not 23 and I'm really glad I'm not 32.

Sadie enjoyed Grandma being around a lot. She loves being held, especially when she has a cough and a runny nose. Sorry and thanks Mom!

Sunday Afternoon Ride

I was looking through my picture folder and found some things that we did over the past 3 months that I never posted about. We went to a kids club event and got to see a really bad Hanna Montana impersonator, jump and slide on bounce castles,

face painting,
and Katelyn got to meet Aurora. She was pretty excited about this part.
We did some miniature golfing. Katelyn is pretty good when she pays attention. This was not her best shot since she did it the wrong way : )

Sadie had to say good-bye to her pacifier. This was her farewell party before she had to put it in the baby box that is kept out in our storage closet on our balcony. We've had some hard nights since then and for a few days staight no naps. It is better sooner than later though, but we've ALL kind of missed it.

This domestic goddess thing is harder than it looks.

I've been trying to be a little more crafty. For Christmas I made my mom a new mixer cover to try and match her kitchen. It went pretty well, so I made myself one. It has been so nice to pull the cover off and use it, instead of having to wash the dust out before starting.

It's hard to tell from this picture, but it has little cute cherry braids on it to match my kitchen.

I'm super excited about spring coming. Last week I bought the girls flip-flops and made this cute skirt for Katelyn. I'm making the same style skirt for both the girls for Easter. I decided to go on the simple route this year. The dresses last year were kind of a headache.

I was so proud of myself for actually finishing a project that I started. Look at me, I'm ecstatic. Nate thought this was a good enough picture to keep, so I'm putting it on for the few people that read this to see.
